Verse of The Day

“Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)

Celebration of Nations PDF Print E-mail

Celebration of Nations...A LCA Tradition!

On Monday, May 17th, the 6th grade classes of LCA hosted their annual Celebration of Nations Open House event.  For five weeks, they work in History class researching a country of their choice. At the Celebration of Nations Open House, the students display their country with various artifacts, costumes, flags, etc… Students also prepare authentic food recipes. The student body, staff, teachers, parents, friends, and relatives came and enjoyed the spread of food, as well as music.  Students shared interesting facts about their country with guests as they visited the displays. It was a great success! Thanks to all the students for all their hard work. And a big thank you to parents for all your help and support!

LCA Honor Choir at the Farmstead

The 5-6th grade Elementary Honor Choir went to sing to a large and welcoming crowd at the assisted living complex known as the Farmstead. Students shared songs from their Spring Concert and later took time to meet and greet the residents. Honor choir is a co-curricular auditioned group open to 5-6th graders in the second half of the school year. It is an extension of the classroom music and vocal training that students already receive in their weekly music classes. This year’s group had 41 participants, who are directed by Mrs. Tirzah Gerber.
