Name Change Opportunity for Meadow Creek Christian School
All students, staff and parents at MCCS are invited to participate in a fun and positive opportunity that will lead to the selection of a new name for our school! An administrative committee will review all submissions and will prepare a list of the top ten names. A cross-section of committee members, including parents, alumni, student council members, faculty and staff will prepare the list of top five suggested names. The top five will be presented to parents, students and alumni via electronic communication, to be ranked one through five. The Advisory Council, or their designee, will make the final decision. Our new name needs to be registered with the Secretary of the State of Minnesota by May 30, 2010.
Listed below are instructions on how you can participate in this fun opportunity to name your school:
- The name change procedure will begin on Monday, January 25 and will close on Monday, February 15. Submission review process will begin on Tuesday, February 16.
- The words "Meadow" and "Creek" cannot be included in the new name. The new name cannot include any derogatory or offensive words.
- Ballot boxes are located at the School Office and at Door #5 (near Mrs. Budish's office) to submit your name suggestion.
- Be sure to include this information: Suggested new name for our school and explain how this name is unique to our school. (It's optional to include your name and phone number.)
